Hurricane Season
National Hurricane Center nhc.noaa.gov
Hurricane season is from June 1st to November 30th.
Is it OK to dispose of lawn debris down the storm drains?
NO. We can not emphasize the "no" enough. Please bag your lawn debris and put it out for Wednesday pick-up (some lawn care companies will take it away for you). Lawn debris will clog the storm drains, it takes a great effort and expense to clear them.
When can I water my lawn?*
- During Daylight Savings Time - Spring- you may water twice a week
- During Standard Time - Fall - you may only water once a week
Odd Addresses - Wednesdays and/or Saturdays
Even Addresses - Thursdays and/or Sundays
- No watering permitted from 10 am to 4 pm
How high do trees have to be trimmed over the street?
The Fire Department requires an 18' clearance. StoneHurst's HOA will trim the trees to the appropriate height as needed. The tree limbs hanging over the sidewalk are the homeowners' responsibility.
What can be done about the buckling sidewalks?
The HOA addresses this issue as needed. The buckled sections with over an inch of difference in height are grinded down or replaced. Most recently done February 2025.
Do I need to ask the Architectural Review Board when we want to paint our house, change our landscaping or take a tree down?
Yes, any and all improvements that affect the aesthetics of the property must be approved by the ARB.

Why is my power out an my neighbors on?
StoneHurst is on two separate electrical grids. Whenever a storm triggers a power outage it may not effect both grids.
